Downloading and Installing the TopForm™ 9.0.9 Network Update

The network update consists of two steps. The first step is the network ADMIN update, which you can run from any TopForm 9.0 network station. The second step is the network Client update, which you run at each TopForm 9.0 Client computer.

Run the following setup procedures to update and install the TopForm 9.0.9 Network Internet Update:

  • ADMIN Setup to update the server from an existing TopForm workstation.
  • CLIENT Setup to update each TopForm workstation (including the server if you use it as a workstation).

NOTE:

You can only apply the 9.0.9 update to TopForm 9.0 or higher. If you need to install the full version of the software, do so before you install the update. Do not attempt to run the CLIENT Setup prior to running the ADMIN Setup.

ADMIN Setup

Take the following steps to download and install the TopForm™ 9.0.9 Network Admin Internet Update:

  1. Close TopForm and all other open applications.
  2. Click UpdAdmin909.exe on the Collier TopForm™ Main Page.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. Click Agree.
  5. Click Save to open the Save As window.
  6. Select Desktop from the Save In drop-down list.
  7. Click Save to begin the file download.
  8. Double-click the UpdAdmin908.exe file on your Desktop to begin the installation.
  9. Click to check the Install Patch checkbox and click Finish.
  10. Click OK at the Update Success window.
  11. Click OK.
  12. Run the 9.0.9 network CLIENT Setup on each TopForm workstation.

NOTE:

Installing the 9.0.9 Admin update from a PC with an existing 9.0 Client, launches the 9.0.9 Client setup on that PC automatically.

CLIENT Setup

Take the following steps to install the TopForm™ 9.0.9 Network Client Internet Update:

NOTE:

You need to install the TopForm 9.0.9 Network Admin update on the TopForm Server before you install the 9.0.9 Client update on the workstation.

  1. Close TopForm and all other open applications.
  2. Right-click the Windows Start button on a TopForm client computer.
  3. Select Explore.
  4. Locate the admin TopForm folder on the server.
  5. Double-click the TFUpdate folder.
  6. Double-click the Client.exe file.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Review and close the TopForm 9.0.9 Release Notes.
  9. Click Finish.
