Building on the vision of our content integration, or content-enabled CRM strategy, InterAction 5.6x provides one-click access to exclusive and distinct LexisNexis News and Business content, and delivers it directly to user's InterAction desktops either in the PIM, Windows and/or Web Clients. All options provide users with easy access to key News and Business information that is available in a News and Business contract as well as key business sources that provide intelligence about people or companies (that is, SEC Filings, M&A Transactions).
Through the integration of LexisNexis® News & Business with InterAction, end users have news and business information at their fingertips. They do not have to wait for someone in another department to get them the most recent information-they can get exactly what they want when they want it.
This information is also accessible when viewing a report produced from InterAction. In conjunction with InterAction's Contact Intelligence Reports, which combine the internal relationship intelligence information in InterAction with contact specific external information, exclusive and distinct News and Business content empowers professionals with relevant and up-to-date information on key contacts. Situations in which Contact Intelligence Reports with News & Business content are beneficial include preparing for a client or prospect meeting, coming up-to-date on a key contact for an unexpected phone call, and preparation for a last minute or forgotten about meeting.

The following updates have occurred to existing news sources:
- The publisher of US Newswire and PR Newswire merged the two titles into a consolidated data feed. US Newswire content (in the USNWR file, hierarchy path News/By Individual Publication/U) is no longer available as an individual source but rather is part of the PR Newswire source (PRNEWS file, hierarchy path News/By Individual Publication/P). Since no content will be lost, we do not anticipate any significant customer impact as a result of this publisher decision. Based on our research, Factiva and Dialog appear to have merged these two files as well. (3/10/09)

How do I incorporate News & Business into InterAction?
The first step is to upgrade to InterAction 5.6 SP1 or higher. We recommend that you upgrade to the most current version of InterAction. Then contact a LexisNexis InterAction Sales Representative to review your current News & Business contract to see if any changes are required and to start the setup process.
