Use a free-text search with the abbreviation frcp to find case law documents that refer to a federal rule of civil procedure.

For example, use the following search to find cases from any of the New York U.S. District Courts dated 2007 or later that refer to FRCP 56:

  1. Click the Search tab.
  2. Click the Legal source tab.
  3. Click the following links in the order listed to search NY Federal District Courts:
Federal Legal - U.S. / Federal District Courts by State / NY Federal District Courts
NOTE: Because the LexisNexis® services list some of the most popular sources on the main search page, you can often link to the source you want directly from the Look for a Source box.
  4. Click the radio button in front of Terms and Connectors.
  5. Enter frcp 56 and date aft 2006 in the search field.
  6. Click Search.

NOTE:

The DATE segment is arithmetically searchable.
