Enabling Cookies

An Important Note about Changing Browser Settings/Configurations

The internet browser settings and configurations we suggest in this article relate to the optimum performance of the LexisNexis® family of web-based products only. The settings you choose in configuring your browser directly affect all of the internal and external browser-based applications you use. You should always check with your Network Administrator or your PC/IT team before you change any system setting or configuration. If you have questions or concerns about the browser settings you should use with your LexisNexis® products, please contact our Customer Support team.

The LexisNexis® services only connect with internet browsers that accept cookies. Take the following steps as appropriate for your browser to enable cookies:

Internet Explorer 6.0

  1. Click Tools and select Internet Options.
  2. Click the Privacy tab and click Advanced.
  3. Check the box next to Override Automatic Cookie Handling.
  4. Select Accept under First-party Cookies.
  5. Select Accept under Third-party Cookies.
  6. Check the box next to Always Allow Session Cookies.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click OK.

NOTE:

If you do not want to accept cookies for all web sites, you can add the LexisNexis domains to your browser's trusted sites.

Internet Explorer 7.0

  1. Click Tools and select Internet Options.
  2. Click the Privacy tab and click Advanced.
  3. Check the box next to Override Automatic Cookie Handling.
  4. Select Accept under First-party Cookies.
  5. Select Accept under Third-party Cookies.
  6. Check the box next to Always Allow Session Cookies.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click OK.

NOTE:

  1. Click Tools and select Internet Options.

  3. Check the box next to Accept cookies from sites.
  4. Click OK.

  1. Click Tools and select Options.
  2. Click the Privacy icon.
  3. Click Cookies to expand it.
  4. Check the box next to Allow sites to set cookies.
  5. Uncheck the box next to for the originating web site only.
  6. Click OK.

  1. Click Tools and select Options.
  2. Click the Privacy icon.
  3. Click the Cookies tab and check the box next to Allow sites to set Cookies.
  4. Click OK.

  1. Click Tools and select Options.
  2. Click the Privacy icon.
  3. Check the box next to Accept cookies from sites under the Cookies section.
  4. Click OK.

  1. Click Tools and select Options.
  2. Click the Privacy icon.
  3. Check the box next to Accept cookies from sites under the Cookies section.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Exit and re-launch the browser.

  1. Click Start, select Settings and Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Internet Options.
  3. Click the Privacy tab and click Advanced.
  4. Check the box next to Override Automatic Cookie Handling.
  5. Select Accept under First-party Cookies.
  6. Select Accept under Third-party Cookies.
  7. Check the box next to Always Allow Session Cookies.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Click OK.

  2. Click the Security icon.
  3. Select Always next to Accept Cookies.
  4. Click the X in the top left corner to close the Security window.
  5. Close and re-launch your browser.

  1. Click the Safari menu and select Preferences.
  2. Click the Security icon.
  3. Select Always next to Accept Cookies.
  4. Click the X in the top left corner to close the Security window.

  4. Click the Red ball in the top left corner to close the Safari Preferences window.
  5. Exit and re-launch the browser.

  1. Click the Firefox menu and select Preferences.
  2. Click the Privacy icon and click the Cookies tab.
  3. Check the box next to Allow sites to set Cookies.
  4. Click the X in the top left corner to close the Privacy window.
