 You need an eReader software installed on your computer to read an eBook. The most commonly used eReader software for PC and MAC is Adobe Digital Editions. This reader is used when you have an eBook in the .ePub file format.

Add and Open the eBook
Manually Associate the .epub and .acsm

Download Adobe Digital Editions 

Take the following steps to download Adobe Digital Editions:

  1. Go to http://www.adobe.com/solutions/ebook/digital-editions/download.html.
  2. Select the appropriate version.
  3. Click Run.
  4. Accept the license agreement and click Next.
  5. Check all the options and click Next.
    Note: If prompted to install Microsoft .NET Framework, click Yes.
  6. Click Install.
  7. If prompted to Include Norton Security Scan, uncheck the box and click Agree.
  8. Click Close.
  9. Adobe Digital Editions opens once the installation completes.
Note: eBooks are compatible with Adobe Digital Editions version 3.0 and higher.

Add and Open the eBook 

Take the following steps to add and open the eBook:

For Windows:

  1. Click File and select Add to Library.
  2. Navigate to the location you saved the LexisNexis eBook, select the file, and choose Open.
  3. Double-click the title to open the eBook.

For Macintosh:

Open Adobe Digital Editions under Finder, a blue icon with the smiling face that can be found on the Doc. Alternately, you can simply click on the eBook file to launch Adobe.
