Nexis Newsdesk® has added a new option named Shared Asset Transfer which allows Admin users to move Newsdesk-created content from one user to another. This includes searches, analyses, newsletters, etc. with the introduction of this feature:
Note: Shared Asset Transfer is only available for IDs under the same account.
Take the following steps to use the Shared Asset Transfer feature:
- Newsdesk content, including saved searches and newsletters, are no longer locked in a user account and inaccessible once that user account is deactivated.
- Newsdesk content is moved from one user account to another in one quick and simple flow.
- What assets are transferred?
- Analyses
- Exports
- Dashboards
- Manage Themes
- Newsletters
- Saved Searches
- Sources Lists
- The transfer is all or nothing. Specify content, such as Newsletters, cannot be transferred alone.
Note: Shared Asset Transfer is only available for IDs under the same account.
Take the following steps to use the Shared Asset Transfer feature:
- Sign in to Newsdesk.
- Click your name menu.
- Click Usage Stats.
- Locate the user you want to transfer content from.
- Click the ellipses in the Actions column.
- Click Transfer Ownership.
- On the Transfer Ownership screen, enter a name or email address in the search box or scroll to locate the user to transfer to.
- Click the corresponding radio button.
- Click Next.
- On the Confirm Transfer screen, check all three confirmation boxes, then click Transfer Ownership.
Note: If all three boxes are not checked, the Transfer Ownership button is greyed out.
- An email is sent to the Admin that transferred the assets.
- An email is sent to the user the assets were transferred from.
- An email is sent to the user the assets were transferred to.
