The CaseMap Software Case Unlocker allows you to unlock any locked CaseMap 13 or 14 case. This may become necessary if a case becomes locked because of a dropped connection to a CaseMap® database. You can now retrieve the case and easily unlock it.
The tool works with CaseMap cases created using CaseMap 13 or CaseMap 14 software only and has no purpose for CaseMap® Cloud users.

Suggested Action
Take the following steps to unlock a case:
- Download the tool located at CaseMap Software Case Unlocker Tool .
- Ensure no other user has the case open.
- Launch the downloaded CaseUnlocker.exe.

Click Browse to locate the folder that contains your case.
NOTE: If you are unable to locate your case file, click the CaseMap Case Files dropdown option to ensure you have selected the correct CaseMap case version. - Select your case and click Open.
- Click Unlock Case
- Click OK.
