Hourly Tracks on the Lexis® CourtLink® service are an option to get hourly email notifications for new proceedings in U.S. District Courts (Civil) and U.S. Court of Federal Claims Tracked dockets. Hourly Tracks are sent between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM EST and only when there are new proceedings on the docket.

Note: The Track begins start running the day you set it up and it is possible to get notifications the same day the Track is set up.
 

How to Create an Hourly Track

Take the following steps to set up an Hourly Track for notification at specific times:

  1. While viewing a docket, click Create a Track (bell icon).
  2. Edit or add the Track Name, Description, and Client under Overview.
  3. Click Deliver.
  4. Select the duration you want the Track to end by entering an end date in the End field.
    Note: The date in the End field defaults to 2 years from the date you create the track.
  5. Select Email + Online.
  6. Enter your email address and click Add recipient if your address doesn't already appear under Added Recipients.
  7. (Optional) Select Email when there are no changes to always receive notifications.
  8. Select the Results Delivery Format.
    Note: If you select Deliver results as email attachment, you must select PDF or DOCX format for the attachment.
  9. Select Hourly under Frequency.
    Note: If you do not see Hourly as an option then your ID is not authorized for hourly tracks. Please contact your account representative.
  10. Click Create Track.
 

How to Edit an Existing Track to Create an Hourly Track

Take the following steps to create an Hourly Track from an existing Track:

  1. Click More.
  2. Click Alerts.
  3. Click Edit to the right of the Track that you want to change into an Hourly Track to display the Docket Tracking window.
  4. Click Deliver.
  5. Select Hourly under Frequency.
    Note: If you do not see Hourly as an option then your ID is not authorized for hourly tracks. Please contact your account representative.
  6. Click Save.
