From the dropdown at the top of the left hand pane, you can choose to search:
  • Documents:  Documents that your organization has deemed to be transactional and decided to make searchable in the repository.
  • Clauses:  Excerpts from your documents that have been identified by Lexis® Search Advantage Transactional as Clauses.
  • Defined Terms:  Excerpts from your documents that contain definitions of terms.

Quick Search:  Retrieving All Documents, Clauses or Defined Terms, for an Agreement Type

The most popular agreement types are listed in the right hand pane on the Home tab. Simply click a name to retrieve all the documents, clauses or defined terms, for that agreement type.
Note:  There are more agreement types available in the Transactions Search powered by Intelligize® Document Types field.
Note:  Some documents within the repository are not assigned to an Intelligize Document Type. To capture these Unclassified documents, search using the Free Text Search fields especially the Intelligize Document Title field without selecting an Intelligize Document type.

Constructing a Search

To generate a search request, add terms to the fields in the left hand pane. Each field supports 1 or more of the following methods:
  • Free text searching:  Type in terms that are processed as a Boolean search. For example:  Search within Document
  • Auto complete:  As you type in characters, values matching those characters appear in a list. Select the desired value from the list.
  • Static list:  Click the icon and select 1 or more values from the list.
  • Date:  Enter a single date or a range of dates.

Full Text View

Once you've completed your search, you can view the full text of each document. When open, the full text is displayed in the right hand pane. At the beginning of some paragraphs, you see the  icon. Click this icon to copy that section of text to the clipboard. You can then paste it into your document or email.
In the left-hand pane, there are 2 tabs:
  • Clause Outline
  • Details

Clause Outline
You can expand the arrow icons to drill down through the hierarchy of the outline of the document. The +/- allow you to expand/collapse the entire clause outline. Click a title to scroll to that location in the document.

You can also search for key terms in the clause outline. Once you type 3 characters into the search box at the top of the clause outline, the system starts highlighting matches within the clause outline.

Details
As in the Results pane, this tab is populated with the metadata from the document, including tags. You can click the name of a provision to scroll to that location in the document.

Search Within Document
Allows you to search for specific text strings within the document. Options are available for:
  • Match case
  • Contains
  • Begins word
  • Whole word
