Important Change from Microsoft Impacting InterAction for Microsoft Outlook (IMO)

What is the change? 

Microsoft has informed InterAction of their Microsoft 365 strategy to cease support of COM plug-ins, including “Classic Outlook.” This means that IMO, a COM plug-in, will no longer work for users in Outlook for Microsoft 365.  

It is projected that Microsoft will completely cease support for this in 2025.  


What are your options as an InterAction customer? 

Experience an uninterrupted workflow with InterAction+. LexisNexis will support you to ensure you have an uninterrupted workflow by moving to our InterAction+ (Hybrid) offering. This technology provides a lightweight add-in and works seamlessly with Outlook as well as Word and Excel.  

When we developed IA365 several years ago, utilizing APIs instead of COM plug-ins, it was in anticipation of the day when Microsoft would retire this older technology. We are always looking for ways to ‘future-proof’ the InterAction+ solution.
