Do I need a separate subscription to read articles in Legal News Hub? All Lexis+ users can see all headlines and summaries, from any publisher, throughout Legal News Hub.

Additionally, all Lexis+ users can read the full text of any article published in Law360’s Access to Justice publication, which covers developments that have a clear public interest, including trends affecting the justice gap and efforts of legal aid organizations, pro bono programs, and other difference makers to help citizens gain access to the courts and legal systems.

For all other content, once you click a headline to read a story, your access depends on the existence of an underlying subscription to the publisher of that article:
  • If you have a subscription to the publisher of the article you clicked on (e.g., you are an MLex subscriber and you clicked on an MLex article), you will be able to read it in Legal News Hub automatically.  No special action is required on your part.
    • Note: Mealey’s content does not require a separate subscription to Mealey’s.  If Mealey’s content is included in your current Lexis+ plan, you will also be able to read it in Legal News Hub.

  • If you do not have an underlying subscription to the publisher of the article you want to read, clicking into the article will present you with an opportunity to start a free, no-obligation 7-day trial that includes all content on Legal News Hub from all publishers.  The trial setup process consists of a single button, does not require you to fill out any forms, and only takes a few minutes to activate.

Articles you view on Legal News Hub are available in your Lexis+ history for 90 days. Click History > View all history to see the articles you’ve previously viewed.

The Legal News Hub home page includes a feed of recent Top Stories, trending articles, the ability to dive more deeply into more than 140 practice areas, topics, and jurisdictions, and a search feature help you find additional articles of interest to you.

Articles

All articles are reproduced directly from the publisher in full, including any charts, images, links within the article text, and links to related articles from the publisher.

For some articles, the publisher may have originally included additional content in the margins on their own website, such as a PDF of the underlying documents being discussed or more information about the parties mentioned in the story.  Additionally, some publishers offer additional functionality to their readers such as the ability to add articles to a briefcase, have the story read aloud, or create an alert to track developments.  Those links and features are not reproduced in Legal News Hub.  However, every article includes a link to read the article on the publisher’s website.  After clicking this link, you may be prompted to login using credentials provided by that publisher as part of your subscription.
